Comic Life for Windows and Comic Life for Mac have both been recently updated.

You may find the release notes for Comic Life for Windows (1.3.6) here and Comic Life for Mac (1.4.3) here.

This update is also for the Deluxe version.

Please download from within Comic Life or from our downloads page.

Comic Life Magiq 1.0.3 Beta released
We are delighted to offer a beta of our upcoming Comic Life Magiq 1.0.3 update.

It has numerous stability and significant performance improvements over 1.0.2.1 - so we would love previous users to download and let us know if you come across any issues.

Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

 Import new template shapes - 2005/10/18 23:01 I'd like to see the capability to draw new template shapes either in Comic Life or in other software such as Illustrator and then import them into Comic Life.

 Re:Import new template shapes - 2005/10/19 00:50 Just so you know, you can edit the template shapes if you want to.. change the number of edges in the Details tab to 8 and you can play with the edges.

However we'll see whats possible about adding these templates to the template selector.

 Re:Import new template shapes - 2005/10/21 08:52 It's useful that you can edit existing shapes but it would be even better if you could use things such as Bezier curves e.g. the two half heart shapes in the concept templates give only a very rough heart outline and there are not enough edit points to be able to smooth out the curves.

 Re:Import new template shapes - 2006/08/06 22:25 Yes! Bezier curves would be nice for the page templates. Could do frames like in Walt Kelly's Pogo. Or how about the ability to draw comics in those frames like in Photoshop. But then who is willing to pay 600 or 700 dollars for the software? Frankly, I don't know how Plasq sells Comic Life for the price of one comic font. What I would like to see is the ability to originate the tail of the word balloon on the right side of the balloon and curve the point to the left. And vice versa.

 Re:Import new template shapes - 2006/08/18 20:20 Comic Life is wonderful as it is. A circle as a template form and the possibility to tilt or turn a cadre would make a comic strip even more dynamic. Hope the developers will continue working on making Comic Life even more grand!
