Wow! - 2006/07/09 07:11 I just bought Wormhole2 and am very happy so far! Nice job! It's easy to use and works almost perfectly.

The only issue is a little audio blip before the audio region starts in Logic. I'm going on the assumption that I just need to fine tune my setup, probably the network since I'm just using my DSL wireless modem as the hub right now. I'm going to get a crossover cable and dedicate the ethernet port on the PC to Wormhole. Maybe mess with the network buffers if that doesn't do the trick. I'm currently using Airport on the Mac side until I pick up the crossover cable.

Here's my setup:

17" iMac 1.83 Intel Duo Core
Logic Pro 7.2.1
M-Audio Firewire 1814

eMachines AMD 64 3700+ PC
ASIO4All on the built in audio (since there's no sound coming out anyway)
SpinAudio Virtual Mixing Console 1.2
Steinberg V-Stack
Tascam GigaStudio 3
Various PC based VST and VSTi

Re:Wow! - 2006/08/30 09:09 Hi there,

Using your router is not a problem. The real issue is Logic. If you have a track with multiple audio parts in logic, logic doesn't call the plugins processing routines between blocks of audio. Unfortunately, it doesn't really shut down the plugins, just doesn't call them, so the plugins have no way of knowing it happened. For regular plugins this is not a big deal, but for wormhole it is problematic as it leads to a loss of the network-audio stream. So I recommend not using tracks with many audio objects in logic, either join them to form a big region or use wh on a bus where you have constant audio.

Hope this helps.
