Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Re:Comic Life 1.3 Beta - 2006/09/15 00:47 Ok, one more feature request then back to breaking things...or trying to.

It would be great to have a way that a Panel could control the contents of the Panel. Such that stretching and rotating a panel would stretch and rotate the contents. An example where this would be useful would be if I was building a postcard, with multiple photos on a rectangular Panel. Once I've got it done, I'd want to tilt the whole thing slighly askew. Right now, rotating the panel leaves the items inside untouched so I'd have to rotate and re-place each item manually.

Secondly, enable me to somehow change one balloon type into another.

Re:Comic Life 1.3 Beta - 2006/09/15 01:33 More coolness. Having two conjoined balloons of two different types, remove the text, merge them together by moving one on top of the other, and you get a nice design element. (Try this with Buzz and TV. Move the tail into the balloon an it looks like something that could be used for a character with spiky hair).

Makes me wish I could fill balloons with graphics though.

Re:Comic Life 1.3 Beta - 2006/09/16 16:38 I'm having a lot of fun with it, Kramy!

Balloon problems

When extending certain balloons, the horizontal dimensions of some are greater than the original, causing each successive one to be progressively shorter and fatter.

The balloons that do this are
Exclamation,
Exclamation 2,
and Thought
(Version 1.2.6 does the same thing)

Dragging and dropping a Whisper balloon to extend any other balloon gives a Speech balloon, not a Whisper. Only a Whisper dropped on a Whisper will give a Whisper.

I DID notice that dropping ANYTHING on a Whisper will give a Whisper'd version of the balloon. Is this intended? I do like being able to -dash- anything, but maybe it should be in the interface somewhere.
