Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Sorry KeynoteKen - but I don't quite understand what you mean hear. Are you able to provide screenshots of this occurring?
I'll see if I can get a screenshot. In it, I'm hoping it'll show that the cursor has not left the bounds of the frame, but it no longer has the orange highlight on it.

The screenshot doesn't show the cursor, but I have determined that it seems to only happen when the frame is rotated. So, if you rotate a frame, place a picture inside it then begin to drag towards the edge of the frame, before your cursor leaves the bounds of the orange highlighted frame, it will blink the full image as if you've taken it outside the frame and then the orange highlight will be gone. Now, when you drop the image, it centers on the frame since it thinks it's a new drop.

Re:Comic Life 1.3 Beta - 2006/12/29 10:47 Under Built-in: Basic, the third template DIAG..., it's become more difficult to move a pic from one frame to the other. I tested with version 1.2.6 and moving a picture from one frame to the other was much easier.

Dropping an image in the lower right is easy, but trying to move it to the upper left is not as straightforward as it was in 1.2.6.

The word balloons still have the small amount of color fringing present it prior builds. Targeted for a future release?

Yes, we have this targeted as a 1.3.1 update.

Thanks for the explanation. We have now fixed this - you will be seeing it in the final release.

This has also been fixed now

Thanks again.

Re:Comic Life 1.3 Beta - 2006/12/29 21:59 Found a disappearing shadow situation.

1) Create a frame, stretch it so that it's "landscape"
2) Drag an image onto the page that is "tall" or "portrait"

(it works either way, but easier to see when the frame and pic have different aspect ratios)

3) Give the image a shadow
4) Drag the image into the frame
5) Wait...

When the thumbnail on the left redraws, the shadow on the image you dropped into the frame will disappear!

Re:Comic Life 1.3 Beta - 2006/12/30 02:15 Here's one in 1.2.6 as well. You're probably already aware of it, but just in case, I can't copy a frame from one page to another or from one document to another. If I do it from Comic Life to Comic Life, I get a dialog box requesting I add a Style. If I do it from Comic Life to another app, I get the PDF as I'd expect.

Re:Comic Life 1.3 Beta - 2006/12/30 22:11 Thanks for the heads up on the "disappearing shadow situation" -- weird one!

Yeah, we did know about the copy and paste to other Comic Life documents - we are looking at fixing that in a future point release soon.

Thanks again!
