RAX levels? - 2006/09/21 20:21 Hi Plasqers,

First, congrats on RAX 2! Almost like a new product entirely. I just love it!

A question, though.

I generally find the RAX mixer at odds with VI levels, seeming to indicate much lower levels than the level indicators in the VI themselves. A good example is Virsyn Tera and miniTera, which have a built -in output limiter and so give very 'hot' out levels.

But in the RAX 2.02 channel strip level meter, the level seems attenuated with the input slider at unity. Further, the Master level is lower still. Is there some kind of intended attenuation going on? Or why don't instrument/channel strip/Master levels seem to agree?

homebilly Visitor	Re:RAX levels? - 2006/12/06 13:49 so here is an audio file of Logic and RAX on my slave Mac playing the same sound triggered by DP on my main Mac. i played a whole note on one track then duplicated it a measure later on another track. there is a CC#7 of 100 on both tracks and the velocity is 127 for both. this way i know that they are identical. i printed back into DP and made this file. there is a clear volume difference. http://ronmeza.com/VI-TEST/Logic-RAX%20volume%20test.mp3
