Comic Life packs a lot of 'Brawn'!
Cranium Comics has recently launched their first four color comic, Brawn #1.

"I used Comic Life on my Mac exclusively to lay out the storyboards, then later when I created and colored all 24 pages of the issue," recounted Anthony Rezendes, the owner of Cranium Comics and co-creator of Brawn.

The comic 'Brawn' focuses on a dockworker named Sam Ross who was reborn as the hero "Brawn" after he was nearly killed in a drunk driving accident.

"Being an illustrator, it saved me quite a bit of time from having to lay all the text bubbles out manually. It made the process of actually creating the comic that much more enjoyable," Mr. Rezendes added.

We think this comic is great! So check out 'Brawn' on the Cranium Comics site or read the first 5 pages on our Comic Life gallery.

Still Life - 2006/12/12 13:12 Hi! I just got Still Life from Granted Software but now see that their software is being acquired by PLASQ.

I think this must be a positive thing - I already own Comic Life Deluxe - but was wondering what this means for Still Life.

For instance, is an updated version in the works? I would love to know!

Re:Still Life - 2006/12/15 12:17 Hi there,

Yes, it is true: plasq is acquiring some software created by granted software.

1) We are currently working on a Universal Binary of Still Life - this will be released at grantedsw.com
2) We plan on doing some updates soon and releasing it under the plasq brand
3) We have no plans to release it for Windows at this stage

Hope this helps

Re:Still Life - 2006/12/25 12:10 That's good news, I suppose; I very much look forward to any updates to Still Life. I recently got hold of FotoMagico by Boinx during the MacHeist event, and this does a similar thing, but I actually prefer Still Life's approach. However, a universal binary and additional features (such as a resizeable window, and crossfades between slides - can't get that to happen) would be great. I am a teacher and use Still Life to create slideshows of information I want my class to see, and I zoom and pan over the photos to draw their attention to what I want them to be focussing on.

Let me know if you need any beta testers!

Re:Still Life - 2007/01/13 14:29 Can you say whether the new version of SL will support a 16:9 format? I've been a long-time user of SL but recently got a widescreen TV - time to make the jump.

Re:Still Life - 2007/01/29 07:07 I want to add to my support of plasq acquiring Still Life. It's a great utility! I can't wait for it to be updated to Universal Binary. Please make it faster than 6 months!

Thank you Kristian Berg
