We are delighted to offer a beta of our upcoming Comic Life Magiq 1.0.3 update.
It has numerous stability and significant performance improvements over 1.0.2.1 - so we would love previous users to download and let us know if you come across any issues.
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.
Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...
This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.
If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".
Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.
Comic Life is great for sharing those funny little moments from school, in the office, or while on worldwide progressive-rock-legends tours.
Robert Fripp and Tony Levin have been sharing the day-to-day stories of touring within one of the most influential prog rock bands - on King Crimson’s 40th Anniversary Tour.

We're giggling with glee to announce Comic Touch for iPhone and iPod Touch. Add various speech balloons and captions to your photos. Choose a fun special effect to warp and bend your family and friends, then email the results to them!
Saving just the image? - 2007/01/03 23:45I rarely use the templates to create a comic. Rather, I drag a single photo in, add a caption and export/save as jpeg. However, when doing this it saves the entire workspace/page.
Is it possible to save only the image? Right now, I'm having to save and then open my comic in Photoshop to trip the excess whitespace.
Re:Saving just the image? - 2007/01/03 23:54What you have to do is set the background of the page to be transparent, then there won't be anything you need to trim in Photoshop.
Kramy has posted these instructions.
To export an image, lettering, balloon etc with a transparent background; follow these steps:
1 - In the details tab for a page, click the fill colour button, and wind down the Opacity slider to 0%. 2 - In File menu >Page Format, click the Paper colour button and do the same, wind down the Opacity slider to 0%. 3 - Export your creation as a .png or .tiff (.png is generally the better choice) (i.e., File > Export > Export to Image(s))
Re:Saving just the image? - 2008/08/25 03:18There has to be a better was..that two many steps. I want to open a image, add my lettering and bubbles and save right to JPEG. I see this was written in 2007, has someone come up with a better solution?
Re:Saving just the image? - 2008/08/25 05:53hi CArl ,
I understand you'd want to do that faster.
What is the eventual outcome of the files?
If it's for use with another application, then you can simply copy all the elements you need and paste it into the application of choice. It will paste as a pdf file, retaining the vector quality (For example when printing or zooming)
But we're definitely keen to make that process simpler, so we'd love to know how you're using Comic Life.

I just want to be able to open on of my saved JPG file and elements, balloons and or lettering and save the file back. Same size, and format. I have to option to overwrite the original file file or save as new file. The JPG file can be uploaded in a website, emailed or online photo album. Anything I would do with an original photo downloaded from my camera. Basicly open it, edit and save it...not sure why i need to save change page format, save in one format and/ or cut and paste to another software to crop it and save.....
