Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/03/26 00:24 I came here today to buy Wormhole2 so I can link Logic to Cubase. I've been meaning to get it for a long time. It's a real shame. Now I'm not sure how I'll do this. I only wanted to use Logic for the soft synths, with Cubase as my main DAW.

Why did I wait?!

Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/03/26 08:14 I work as a pro audio tech. If someone picks up this wormhole project I would happily pay between $250 and $300 for a site license. Even more for RTAS / TDM versions that are authorized on iLok !

It was too slow and buggy when I tried to run multi-tracks from Vstack-WinXP to ProTools-OSX.

I can imagine wormhole working well with 2 computers and a crossover cable ( no other networking ). Or create a simpler GUI that runs wormhole in a 2 track only mode for complicated computer networks. Often you would submix anyway and having a solid 2 tracks is better than 32 glitchy ones.

Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/03/28 07:19 I just read about these programs in Soundonsound magazine and and find this most unpleasant surprise. Sell it or give away for free without support; I don't care; but bring back the programs.

At least point customers to similar options from other companies. You ought to give your company a good name, good business practice.
