Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/05/14 22:21 Unlucky timing on my part. I just read about Rax in Cliff Truesdell's book "Mastering Digital Audio Production". I think it is just what I was looking for.

In any even, I hope you are able to sell Rax to another software company whose charter matches the product better.

If you do this, would you please post something on your site so that people can find the product.

Regards,

Michael

Yep! I'm bummed that the demise of Rax seems to have coincided with my recommending it it the book. It'll be really nice if it finds a home with a new company though. I really liked Rax a lot.

Hopefully there's other stuff in the book that you found useful, too!

Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/05/22 07:19 can you be more insulting
you develop the cheapo product and let go the pro ones?
what kind of company are you, at least sell the code to a developper that will use it, or give it away as abandonware

Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/05/25 01:32 Rax is one of those rare pieces of software with just the right balance and focus -- not bloated with useless extras nor frustrating with missing features. It is just right.

If you can no longer make a business case for continued development and support, I'd vote for either an open source version or handing the keys over to somebody like Urs Heckmann over at http://www.u-he.com/index.html.

Cheers,
Andreas
