Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/02/19 08:05 Sorry to see Rax go - I bought it, I use it. Please please sell Rax to a serious plugin outfit so that it can continue to develop.

good luck in your future endeavors

Re:the demise of Rax - 2007/02/19 10:45 I've been using Rax since version 1, and was constantly amazed by how stable it always was.

Although the GUI of the new version wasn't to my liking, I was glad to see the improvements in buttons and such that I had mentioned to you. As always, it was rock-solid, and I hope it'll continue to work for me for a couple more years.

I used it in the studio in Nashville every week, and it's perfect for playing plugins without the overhead of ProTools or Cubase.

Being a shareware developer, I understand the economics of software sales, and wish you all the best in all of your future endeavors. I echo others who sugest that you approach reputable audio developers like Native Instruments, or perhaps Synthogy; your program's too good to be abandoned.

Sincerely,

Bob P.

Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/02/19 12:13 I am disappointed that you are discontinuing the product. After searching for and purchasing every expensive product just to do what RAX does....you decide to leave me out in the cold by stopping production. I haven't felt the feelings of betrayal like this since being under the thumb of Microsoft an owning a Mac computer. If you are going to sell it....sell it to someone who will continue its development. I think its a great product for the musicians out there that just want to layer sounds live and want to project beautiful visuals in a live performance. What other product does that Arkaos? I don't think so and the ones that are out there are so pickin' difficult to use, it takes away from my creativity. Please let me know that you will not just waster all those lines of code by dropping it.... Crap...raise the price if you have to....

Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/02/20 15:46 After streaming audio over ADAT between 2 Macs for about 2 years, I heard about Wormhole... And now it's gone!

FX Teleport has been anouncing a Mac version for as long back as I can remember, and we're still waiting!

Don't leave us hanging out here.

Open source it, or sell it to a developer specializing in VST Instruments - Native Instruments/FXpansion/EastWest/etc. But keep it alive!

Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/02/21 06:46 Yea, I too came here to purchase it today. Bummer as I was going to use this on-stage next month. As a developer of audio products I'd be interested in maintaining it.... How can I get a registered copy? thanks
