Skitch leaves plasq
The great screen capture, annotation and sharing service has all grownup, left the plasq stables and become its own fully fledged company.

For users this change will not affect you in any noticeable way - skitch.com is still the main home and some of the same people are working on it but you'll be seeing big things coming soon!

If you have not tried out Skitch yet - give it a go... You're missing out!

Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/04/10 17:50 i dont know if you Plasq chaps are aware of the ongoing debacle of vst compatibility with intel macs in cubase4, but i think Rax is in a top position to become a slaveable rewire AU host. this would open up the AU-only plugin market to Cubase4 users on intel macs like myself. you could market it specifically at us! just an idea. if you dont do it, will someone else? please???

Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/04/13 20:54 Sell it. I don't even know what it is or what it does, but I think ComicLife and that ilk is the future -- unless you guys love poverty and anonymity!

So I say sell it, make some money and invest that money back where we all want to see it, in ComicLife, and in more excellent Plasq products.

Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/04/14 01:46 OK, guys...confused. If you are getting out of the audio business, they why are you continuing to sell Musolomo?

Don't get me wrong, I am one of those unfortunate souls that JUST read the excellent write-up / review of your Wormhole 2 product in Sound On Sound magazine's April 2007 issue and came to your website to purchase it. It is EXACTLY what I have been looking for! I find it very odd timing that at just at the time a major audio production / musician's magazine writes an article that would undoubtedly increase sales of Wormhole 2, you just decide to stop selling it. Doesn't sound like good business sense to me, that article surely created a lot of potential customers that you have shunned.

I don't know how you guys originally got from comics to audio processing, but I guess I don't care....if you built a good product, you should make it available. My vote...start selling it again or quickly put it in a place where people can get it, if that is selling to another company or putting it in public domain, whatever, just get it back out there to capitalize on the free Sound On Sound PR.....especially since there is a need in the market place for this product!

Re:Future of Rax and Wormhole2 - 2007/04/16 11:23 You really need to release them to open source. THe open source audio community is starting to get off the ground, and it could use the influx of workable code. Right now, a lot of applications are working, and show the promise to be more powerful than commercial products (Jack, puredata, Audacity, and Ardour are great examples). If you release this great program to open source, the community will continue to develop it into something even better.
