Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta - 2007/05/28 09:20 I really appreciate the hard work that's gone into this beta. I've used the Mac version for some time but have to work in Windows often so that having ComicLife cross platform is superb.

I have a new 8-core MacPro that I've got set up to boot XP, Vista and, of course, OSX. I've been working with ComicLife under XP and find it almost flawless so far. I'll try installing under Vista tomorrow.

So far, most of the issues I've had would fall under simple feature requrests and not bugs. The more I use CL, the more I see things I would dearly have added, such as: 1) better control in adjusting balloon borders to text. 2) editable balloon shapes; and, 3) ability to add multiple graphic elements in a single panel (I often create individual character elements such as heads, hands, feet and bodies. It would be nice if I could save them with alpha channels and bring them in with a layer function into a single panel. Would allow people to create entire libraries of characters and expressions and be able to sort of create characters on the fly. Way, way, way back in the old, old days Trici Venloa drew art for the original Macintosh used in a 2-bit program called ComicWorx and this was the approach they used.)

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta - 2007/05/28 21:47 You've already got number three. Hold down "Control" as you're dragging a second object into a panel and it'll drop in added to the first (On the mac, use command drag.

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta - 2007/05/29 02:13 Hey thanks! I hadn't seen that in the manual but, of course, I may have missed it. I'll try it. I'm hoping it reads alpha channels for transparency effects. ....
