We are delighted to offer a beta of our upcoming Comic Life Magiq 1.0.3 update.

It has numerous stability and significant performance improvements over 1.0.2.1 - so we would love previous users to download and let us know if you come across any issues.

Please visit the forum for more information, including where to download the beta.

Thank you very much for your help testing the future!

Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta - 2007/05/16 03:00 Tracey was trying to print a single page with 4 photographs, a title and 1 or 2 speech bubbles. When she pressed print the print page came up, and a smaller window telling her that the document was printing, but nothing happened beyond that and she had to force quit the programme via ctrl/alt/delete. I will ask her to forward the file

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta - 2007/05/19 01:58 I, too, am a tecaher and am LOVING comic life. A, also, am having some problems printing.

When I push print, it takes a long time to send to the printer. Eventually a box comes up telling me it is unable to print (but actaully, after a while of waiting it does print out)
Often times at this point the window freezes up and the program shuts down or I have to manually shut down and start overe. And this is only with one "page" per file. Any more than that and it takes forever and just locks me out.

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta - 2007/05/19 11:04 I think the program is great. I teach inner city kids (middle School) and was shown the program in a professional development course at our school. I even won a copy of the deluxe edition, the only problem is I have a Windows Vista OS!

When can I purchase a Windows version? And how long can we use the beta? It says it expires...in X days...

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta - 2007/05/21 05:22 No, i am afraid there are no crash.dmp files anywhere on my system. I have no idea what is causing it.
Any thoughts? Are there any programs that you know it has issues with?
regards,
nick v

I have just downloaded + installed comic life on xp with sp2 installed, but when i open it an error message saying 'missing shortcut' pops up. I have unistalled and reinstalled but it still happens. Unfortunately it is behind the comic life icon when it comes up so i can't get any more details.
After closing the error message in task manager the program opens but then closes automatically...
Any thoughts? i would love to get this working on my computer!

Nickv, are any crash.dmp files created in your Comic Life folder?

If so can you please email them to clwinbeta@plasq.com

Thanks heaps.

Hi Lora,

What version Windows are you using? And what type of printer?

Thanks!
