Here is Comic Life Windows beta 2!

Thank you very much for your patience whilst we got this organized.

Remember it is still a beta. So remember anything can still go wrong! We do try our best to make it as reliable as possible - but as it is a beta, we do ask that you are cautious and don't recommend using it for time-critical work in case anything goes awry.

If you come across any bugs, please report them to us using this thread.
If you have any crash logs or screenshots to send that will help with your report, please email us:

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta 2 - 2007/06/26 16:05 First of all, thanks for making such an excellent program available. Making comics is becoming a bit of an addiction !

I have been using the temporary beta 2 as well, and the good news is that they both installed fine and have not crashed at all.

The only thing I've noticed is:

I'm making a comic using my own images which I have created in PaintShop Pro and saved as .gif files. Sometimes I change the images in PaintShop Pro while I'm in the middle of a comic. However the changes or new files only show up in the Explorer folder window in Comic Life if I completely restart the computer.

I have to remember to do all the changes and create the new images before I open Comic Life for the first time, or I will be rebooting all the time.

Everything else is fine.

Thanks for your kind words - glad you are enjoying it!

Restarting Comic Life or creating a new project doesn't work? What version of Windows are you using?

Thanks!

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta 2 - 2007/06/26 18:14 Have just done a few experiments. No, the changes don't show up if I restart Comic Life or if I open a new project. Rebooting seems to be the only way.

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta 2 - 2007/06/26 22:00 Also, I can't get it to export to an image. I've tried different formats and different dpi, but it always makes the computer hang on the little taskbar which shows that it is working on the first page. I didn't have any problems with this on the first beta. I've got it to export to html no problem.
