Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

Re:limit of uploads? - 2007/06/29 21:06 I'm not sure. I haven't noticed a limit and I've got LOTS of images uploaded. This is probably a part of the whole Beta process, whether or not they eventually limit the uploads.

Re:limit of uploads? - 2007/07/01 02:05 Hi Anne,

Theres no current limit yet on the number of uploads.

There is some performance limiting on the image views - for example, if an image is hit by boing boing or slashdot and is viewed by hundreds of thousands of people in a short time. However, for most practical purposes, there is nothing like a '1000 photos only' limit etc. So keep on Skitchin' and mySkitchin'

This is a beta period though, so the conditions may change.. keep an eye out for any forum announcements etc. However, we don't have any current plans for limiting.

Re:limit of uploads? - 2007/07/02 07:42 Thanks for the details keith!

What is nice about Skitch is its easy to delete a hosted image in one click from the Skitch App, so it’s easy to keep it clean if you have "expired" or unused photos hosted.

Are the bandwidth limits the same on the two thumbnails?

Re:limit of uploads? - 2007/07/02 08:02 Hi Highway of Life,

I'm not exactly understanding your question, but the basic answer is that there is no current limit on any of the images at all, except for in extreme cases as I pointed out above.

What did you have in mind? Was there something particular you wanted to use Skitch and mySkitch for?

Re:limit of uploads? - 2007/07/02 08:08 No, thinking about it now, I suppose it is not a problem.
See, with imageshaq, photobucket etc, they have bandwidth limits that can easily be exceeded from a blog post.
You mentioned something like that for issues such as slashdot, but I missed that you said "hundreds of thousands of users", not "thousands"

The point was that the thumbnails don’t take up as much bandwidth, and therefore would not hit any bandwidth limit. -- However, it’s a non-issue if the bandwidth limit is so high that large images are not going to hit the restriction unless the traffic load becomes extreme.
