PLEASE NOTE: Users running OS X 10.4 Tiger, and recently updated to Comic Life 1.5.1 - and are having crashing issues, please read below:
An issue has occurred with Comic Life 1.5.1 for users running OS X 10.4 Tiger where dragging images or loading documents with images is crashing the application.
For those of you that have updated, you may go back to 1.5 by downloading here.
We have now pulled the 1.5.1 update and are looking into the issue - we will release a 1.5.2 update to fix the issues as soon as we can.
We are very sorry for this issue and offer our sincerest apologies.
Not that long ago, in a galaxy not that far away, we released an update to Pharos IV: Assault!
This 1.1 updates unleashes computer assisted torpedo targeting for greater accuracy, resumption from highest level attained - no more starting over from level 1 - and fixed the stutter issue that affected iPhone 3.0 users.
Update is for both iPhone/iPod Touch and Pharos IV: Assault and Pharos IV: Assault Lite versions.
This latest update for Comic Touch (1.2.2) (direct link to App Store) addresses several issues that popped up with the release of the latest iPhone 3.0 update.
The update fixes UI display, photo rotation issues when going into landcape mode, and image effects display issues.
Please update from within iTunes or using your iPhone/iPod Touch device.
Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta 3 - 2007/09/18 12:00Hello Geoff,
Apologies for the problems you have had.
This is definitely a new one!
Are you able to give a description of what you were doing so that we can try and replicate the memory leak you mentions. Can you reproduce the leak with some certain steps?
Are you able to .zip the file up and upload it to a website or use a program like http://www.pando.com/ to send me the file?
Email to clwinbeta@plasq.com (if file less than 10mb - you can just email it too).

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta 3 - 2007/09/20 05:56I have the same issue with the print preview, it doesn't actually crash but it takes about 15 minutes to get the preview to show.
While waiting for the preview, device manager shows Comic Life taking up 50% of the CPU (ie one full core) and 500-800 mb of RAM.
The page is quite simple with 5 images, some text and speech bubbles.
I'm using a PC with 2GB of RAM and a T2500 2GHz processor.
Printing is also pretty slow, about a minute per page to send to the printer, which is directly attached by USB2.
Great product though, can't wait to buy the finished version!

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta 3 - 2007/09/20 09:33Comic Life Beta V3 - I have been using the Comic Life Beta Test for Windows on the network at school with students - seems to work find on Administrator log in buyt when students log in on their log in (which has restricted rights) the program often crashes - and doesnt save - if they are quick enough to finish and export their comic as an image, it works but today a whole class's work crashed before they finished I'm looking forward to the full release of the program and hope that that copy doesnt have the same problems.

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta 3 - 2007/09/20 09:59Hi Peta,
This is unusual.
We have a few schools running tests for us and none have mentioned this.
So it won't be fixed unless we can get some help from you
Could you please contact us via email: clwinbeta@plasq.com - you should be getting Crash.dmp files in the directory that Comic Life is installed.
If not, please let us know via email. We would definitely like to get this kind of issue resolved.
