Re: Classroom Materials - 2005/10/27 22:37 I am the elementary school librarian/computer guy. I have used Comic Life to prepare my substitute folder with instructions on how to check out books, log in to the computers and all the technical stuff that needs to be done if I am going to be out.

I also used it to prepare some plans for a sub when I was going to be out.

Very easy, extremely readable, easily understood and way cool!

Re:Classroom materials - 2006/09/09 01:14 I teach at The Boys and Girls Clubs of America in Pasadean in the computer lab. We would like to use Comic Life as a tool on our 20 computers. Please let us know if you would grant us the software (on PC?)?

Re:Classroom materials - 2007/03/04 09:09 A colleague and I created a web site for a Comic Life session we presented at a recent Institute Day. It contains many work examples, templates, student planning sheets, and links to resources. Hope it will be useful for some of you.

Re: Classroom Materials - 2007/04/16 04:33 What a great idea. I think I will do this for some of the "how-tos" I create for teachers.

My teachers LOVE using Comic Life to create newsletter, too!

Re:Classroom materials - 2007/12/22 00:48 What a great resource - much thanks! I enjoyed your website. I am preparing for NECC 2008 pre-conference workshop in San Antonio and working on authentic student samples as well as paving the way for 21st century skills and NETS•S and content standards. May I include your site as part of the resource list? You will find that my www.digitales.us website has research-based scoring guides for digital products that may provide some assessment tools for comic-based comunication. The BIG question I try to share with teachers is not what tool (mode) they are using but scoring content based on purpose/audience AKA TYPE of communication being targeted!

thanks

Re:Classroom materials - 2008/05/20 10:33 Educational Clip Art

Some of you may already know about this one, but I just found it today and there's a LOT here to like. Free for educational use!

By the way, if you're using Comic Life Magiq and want to make the white background drop out, change the Composite mode to "Multiply"
