Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Re:The List - 2007/08/07 17:12 Launching Comic Life takes more than a minute on my PC. Maybe that's because I have several GB of photos "My Pictures". The quality of the thumbnails shown in the Photo library is also very grainy and scrolling the photo library is slow too. I don't face these in the OSX version.

Re:The List - 2007/12/07 00:13 It's boring me to wait 30 minutes for to print 8 pages. I'm only wasting my time with this kind programm. It would be better to spend my money for the comic-book-creator, since your programmers didn't solve the printer-proplems under windows.

happy x-mas

Re:The List - 2007/12/07 00:38 Hello Thomas,

Thanks for contacting us.

We are not sure why some printers have trouble printing Comic Life pages - but we think it might be related to small memory in some printers. What kind of Printer and what version of Windows are you using?

As a work-around, you could just export the pages ( File > Export > Export to Image(s)...) - at 300 dpi Tiff or PNG - and print it that way.

It is an extra step but should suffice as a work-around at least.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re:Known issues - 2007/12/31 20:22 An annoying but not critical bug I've encountered:
The preview for the capture function dosn't show the entire picture. I see a little less than 1/4 of the picture I get when I drag it to the page.
I'm using the 1.3 MP built in webcam in the HP Pavillion dv9000 laptop and WinXP.

Other than that I really like the program so far (tried it for a few days now =).
