Comic Life packs a lot of 'Brawn'!
Cranium Comics has recently launched their first four color comic, Brawn #1.

"I used Comic Life on my Mac exclusively to lay out the storyboards, then later when I created and colored all 24 pages of the issue," recounted Anthony Rezendes, the owner of Cranium Comics and co-creator of Brawn.

The comic 'Brawn' focuses on a dockworker named Sam Ross who was reborn as the hero "Brawn" after he was nearly killed in a drunk driving accident.

"Being an illustrator, it saved me quite a bit of time from having to lay all the text bubbles out manually. It made the process of actually creating the comic that much more enjoyable," Mr. Rezendes added.

We think this comic is great! So check out 'Brawn' on the Cranium Comics site or read the first 5 pages on our Comic Life gallery.

Free Cartoon Character Artwork! - 2008/01/06 20:47 A very talented artist, Esa Holopainen, contacted us asking if we would be interested in providing some of the artists artwork for our Comic Life fans so as to create comics.

We said yes! And as a result Esa was kind enough to create 146 unique pieces of artwork that you can use to create your own comics using cartoon characters!

Characters include dog, bunny rabbit, bird, squirrel, and penguin. Also included are mobile phones, cameras, clocks and scenery backdrops like beaches and green hills.

There are two different packages available for download...
-- a .pdf package for Mac users - which look lovely in the new 1.4 version
-- a .png package for Windows users

It is free to use for non-commercial use. More detailed information within the downloaded package in the Right license.txt file.

UPDATE: To have multiple images in the one panel...

For Mac: Hold down the Command/Apple key
For Windows: Hold down the ALT key

... when dragging in the secondary image.

There is no way to install them, so your above statement is the right way

Hope the students are having fun!

Re:Free Cartoon Character Artwork! - 2008/04/03 00:34 I downloaded the free cartoon artwork, but when I drag and drop the images into a panel, Comic Life only lets me put one image into each panel. How do you make a scene with a background and several foreground images?

Re:Free Cartoon Character Artwork! - 2008/04/03 03:38 If you download the png folder to desktop, drag and drop onto your iPhoto icon in dock. They will now be a selection in photos when you open Comic Life.
