Not that long ago, in a galaxy not that far away, we released an update to Pharos IV: Assault!
This 1.1 updates unleashes computer assisted torpedo targeting for greater accuracy, resumption from highest level attained - no more starting over from level 1 - and fixed the stutter issue that affected iPhone 3.0 users.
Update is for both iPhone/iPod Touch and Pharos IV: Assault and Pharos IV: Assault Lite versions.
This latest update for Comic Touch (1.2.2) (direct link to App Store) addresses several issues that popped up with the release of the latest iPhone 3.0 update.
The update fixes UI display, photo rotation issues when going into landcape mode, and image effects display issues.
Please update from within iTunes or using your iPhone/iPod Touch device.
Re:Welcome to Comic Life Magiq - 2008/11/13 03:36Magiq is another program altogether. It's called a "cross-grade" because the functionality overlaps, and Magiq doesn't make the original CL obsolete. You can have both at the same time.
Be aware, however, that despite the name the files they create are not compatible. If you have any tempaltes, you'll have to recreate them in Magiq, and you should keep CL around in case you need to manipulate any of the comics you made in that program.
Re:Welcome to Comic Life Magiq - 2008/11/14 13:11Thanks for the reply. That helps a lot.
I JUST upgraded from CL to deluxe, and then discovered Magiq. I had thought Magiq was more about templates for making greeting cards with photo's, etc... but when I downloaded the trial, I discovered that it still does everything that CLD does and more!
Dang! Now I'm a bit torn. LOL I think I'll always keep CLD as I really like the lay out of it, and it's so easy to use. It's my hope to use it to publish a book of my work next year. (fingers crossed)
CL is absolutely brilliant, and it's saved me so much time making a web-comic. (I never did like drawing the boxes or writing the dialogue)
Someone just told me about this product and site. I'd love to get feedback from those of you using it.
Do they have templets that I can CHOOSE the size? Like could I create a photo, specifically 7 x 5 or 5 x 7 and have it print out high quality.
IF anyone is using this application like that, I'd appreaciate hearing from you. You could write me directly at mlmblonde @ superteam.com or give me a call at 813-987-2688
I'm trying to figure out the differences between the applications show and how easy it is to learn? Is it easy enough for a NON Tech person, or is it hard like some of those others.
Re:Welcome to Comic Life Magiq - 2009/10/17 07:45Hi, thanks for asking for feedback...I've been trying to decide which to buy and the quandary is, Magiq seems to have more templates but I can't see how to get the features of the templates when i'm in a blank page, for example, I only have one lettering choice in a blank page but other exclusive lettering choices in the templates. Why aren't they all available all the time? Also, it seems that there are more features for the appearance of text boxes, but some of the basic features in CL are impossible to achieve, like the style attribute "Out Now" - can't get an approximate. Did I miss something, it was easy to just select it in CL, it seems in Magiq that I have to go through all the options and recreate it painstakingly myself. And the standard Lettering in CL, I liked that style. It's different in Magiq and I can't find a way to get the same one as CL...Why is that? But the most perplexing thing about Magiq is the photo library -- in CL, I can see the file names and folders and go to one that is relevant to the project. In Magiq it dumps them all together, which a) slows it down as I scroll through irrelevant pictures and b) gives thumbnails with no name so I can't tell which one I edited this way or that way. This is important because some of the differences in the photos are very slight and not obvious in a thumbnail. Any suggestions? Thanks...
