But, since your question does read a little different, here's a little different answer. When you install Comic Life Magiq, it does NOT remove Comic Life, so in a physical sense it's not a "replacement". Magiq cannot open Comic Life documents and cannot save as Comic Life documents (and also doesn't have a Windows compatible version).
Can Comic Life Magiq do everything Comic Life can do (create panels, drop in images, add filters, etc.)? Yes, and in many cases better than before. The effects, some of the commands and other things are in slightly different places, and it'll take a little getting used to.
So, in my opinion, Comic Life Magic CAN replace Comic Life for the creation of your future content.
