Re:pixelated images - 2008/05/12 23:33 Are you running the latest 1.4.1? Also, have you tried the steps to delete your .plist in this thread?

Re:pixelated images - 2008/05/13 04:36 Yes i run the latest 1,4,1.

I have not yet try to delete the.plist... I will !! But in a hurry.... I had to manually re create on photoshop .
... The problem is not so the export in PDF, I have Printed in pdf instead of export in PDF, by this way... like I read, it works for real (but I printed only the frames and texts)... and then in toshop I recreated my pictures..... long long long... but it's done.

The main pb that remains is why when I import a full A4 300 dpi... which is after, export in jpeg full quality @ 300.. the lost of quality is Huge.... and the other bugs I reported before... I will try to reinstall properly, I ve just re download the program and replace...same version... it changed anyhting.

Re:pixelated images - 2008/05/13 15:27 Hello,

I deleted the .plist = OK now the export in PDF is OK.

Remains the "pixel" problem...

keep on searching..

Re:pixelated images - 2008/05/13 15:48 - I create a ISO A4 page
- Import a 10M pic (2742X3809px) @ 300dpi => 232X322 mm
It create in the page a smaller pic.... by more or less 70X100 mm.

If I zoom in.... the def is awfull
I clic resize image to actual size... it create a bigger image than 232X322 mm but the def is ok.....
I reduce the pic into the page...it keeps the def ok....... for a few secondes and then ...bouhhhhh big pixels instead of.

I try to resize again but this time I can't have the good def in big size.

Second test : I do the same steps , import, awfull def, resize : this time the pic has its good print size but not the good def on screen..
I reduce in the page... no more good def. I resize again to go back to original size and this time I got a tiny bloc of 10 mm with awfull pixels inside....

This is the same problem with different pictures, @ different def.
One shot it works........ for a few second, the next it doesn't work at all creating weird effects....

Keep on searching...

Re:pixelated images - 2008/05/13 16:46 !!!!!!!!!! I found !!!!!

Well, define an automatic page size.... doesn't work.
The custom param. were remained at a low res. about 500X600 or something like that....

I Use a Custom Size and entered a 2480 X 3508...A4 @300..... and then IT WORKS... all mywork needs to be re compose and RESIZED, but when resized, pics are good looking in a good def.

Then, export in PDF still doesn't work but Print in PDF works with a good print def, as expected....

Too late for my yesterday's 63 sheet doc, but for the next time everything should be Ok now !!!!!!!

So cool !!!!!

So final question.... Am I totaly twisted or we are forced to determine a pixel size and choose an ISO is impossible... It could be cool to finally, so as to work for print or for web, to easily define a legal print size as A4... and define the definition???

Re:pixelated images - 2008/05/14 07:20 Hi Géo,

Sorry to hear about your frustration

I'm a little confused .. What measurement system are you using here:

"I Use a Custom Size and entered a 2480 X 3508...A4 "

??

Comic Life defines page sizes using Points by default, but you can set it up to work in measurements of cm or inches if you like, by going to Comic Life>Preferences

You can confirm the size by creating a Panel of the exact size you need, in cm or inches.

The use of Points does seem a little confusing in this context -- maybe something odd happening too with the preferences, so we'll look into that.

Any more information would be most helpful!
