Comic Life Magiq + Illustrator = woes - 2008/05/26 17:11
Okay, brand new user here to Magiq so it would not surprise me if some of my wishes were actually implemented however upon first use I am not pleased.
-Illustrator documents show up in the Photo/Artwork area but when dragged into a panel cause Magiq to go into spinning beachball mode. VERY BAD.
- Magiq uses the iPhoto database? Please stop! Yuk!
- Need a way to import photos like any other program (i.e. import, place, whatever...) rather than relying on the all-too-space occupying way that it's currently implemented. At the very least allow me to view the list of images by NAME rather than by PREVIEW. It would certainly save on the battery life in my MBP.
- Photo/Artwork area doesn't seem to update when I add images to folders in the list. Seems I have to quit Comic Life Magiq and restart it. Please tell me this is not the way it works.
I had only used the free Comic Life for periodic things but have recently decided to get a little more serious with it. I purchased Magiq and the first half-hour with the program was just frustration after frustration. I've been using Macs for everything from programming to artwork since the 128K. Mac programs generally shouldn't be quite this frustrating right out of the box.
