Comic Life packs a lot of 'Brawn'!

Cranium Comics has recently launched their first four color comic, Brawn #1.

"I used Comic Life on my Mac exclusively to lay out the storyboards, then later when I created and colored all 24 pages of the issue," recounted Anthony Rezendes, the owner of Cranium Comics and co-creator of Brawn.

The comic 'Brawn' focuses on a dockworker named Sam Ross who was reborn as the hero "Brawn" after he was nearly killed in a drunk driving accident.

"Being an illustrator, it saved me quite a bit of time from having to lay all the text bubbles out manually. It made the process of actually creating the comic that much more enjoyable," Mr. Rezendes added.

Doozla 1.1 released

An update for Comic Life for Windows is now out!

This 1.3.5 update changes where default temp files are saved, to reflect the recommended guidelines; resolving some issues affecting some schools. This update also includes several other fixes.

This is a free update for all users and can be downloaded from our Downloads page.

Comic Life is Magiq!

Comic Life for Mac 1.4.1 released

This small 1.4.1 update for Comic Life for Mac squashes two bugs that crept into 1.4: missing aliased iPhoto Library images and an export issue affecting OS 10.3.9 users. Sneaky bugs!

Free Cartoon Artwork!

Artist Esa Holopainen has been kind enough to create 146 unique pieces of artwork for our Comic Life fans to use when creating their own comics.

There are cartoon characters such as dog, bunny rabbit, bird, squirrel, and penguin - as well as many other objects - for Comic Life users to choose from.

The art is free to use for non-commercial use. More information included on this forum post.

Wormhole2 Open Sourced

Wormhole2 is a cross-platform Audio Unit and VST plugin, allowing routing of audio between machines on a network. It features low latency, auto-configuration and now has the wonderful feature of being free!

If you're a developer, you can now add your own features or take it in a whole new direction, by getting involved in the Wormhole2 Open Source project.

This Comic Life for Mac 1.4 update includes new controls for making your images shine with control over brightness, contrast, saturation and more.

Get clearer results with screen- resolution images when using the new 1:1 size function, as well as overall export image quality improvements.

New rotating balloons, jagged balloon tails, neater caption handling and improved custom page size creation all combine to highlight your comic genius!

Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard" is out, so we're proud to announce a new Skitch beta Testfix - 1.0b5 Testfix (v7617) improves compatibility with this new OS X version.

Skitch 1.0b5 Testfix has improved support for Leopard's Spaces feature, snapping of the dock and full windows. This version also includes improvements to uploading, error messaging and more.

Please note: Your current Skitch will not auto-update, as this is a Testfix release and not an official version.

Pushing Daisies brings Comics to Life!

In America, the popular new ABC television show, Pushing Daisies, is recapping the plotline of each newly televised episode using photo comics.

Based on still images from the show, the comics help viewers catch up on missed episodes and relive the live show.

The software chosen to create these comic recaps? Skitch and Comic Life from plasq!

Skitch is used to capture images from a DVD stream. The resulting images are placed into a Comic Life template, filtered, mixed with speech balloons containing key plot points, then shared on abc.go.com
