We think TED videos are great things, and this one with Temple Grandin is no exception. In her talk she “makes the case that the world needs people on the autism spectrum: visual thinkers, pattern thinkers, verbal thinkers, and all kinds of smart geeky kids.” We have heard from educators either at EdTech conferences or in emails that comic books are a great resource for students who are visual thinkers, and many educators have used Comic Life as a resource. Take a look at an example in action.
Temple Grandin is an inspirational figure in many ways and is very well known in the Autism community. If you’d like to learn more you can read her bio on TED.com.
