Portland, OR–December 19th–plasq® today released Comic Touch 2, a creative app for turning photos into fun comic covers and panels. Comic Touch users can choose between 24 customizable designer templates to overlay on photos, including portrait and landscape options. Users can then apply distinctive photo filters, edit template lettering and text, as well as drop in speech balloons and comic style graphics. Comics can be shared in multiple ways including AirDrop, Twitter and Facebook as well as high quality prints from Kodak.

The “see-through” template preview lets users easily get the perfect shot. Swiping between templates allows quick previewing of all the possibilities. The app automatically switches between comic cover and panel templates depending on whether the camera is portrait or landscape. More comic cover templates will be made available for in app purchase.

Once the photo is taken users can choose between 20 new photo filter combinations for Comic Touch. The filters range from sketchy pencils to cool rotoscoping, with lots of texturing options as well.

Within each template the text can all be changed and lettering elements can also be moved, rotated, resized and reshaped. Comic Touch comes pre-loaded with 10 different balloon types and 28 different comic graphics. Balloon shape, size and tail placement can all be edited. 

The sharing options make it easy for users to send the freshly created comic cover via email, message, Twitter and Facebook. They can also be AirDropped to another iOS device or sent to another app via Open In. Additionally, plasq has teamed up with Kodak to provide a photo printing service. 4×6, 5×7 and 8×10 prints can easily be ordered within the app and are available at the store of your choice for pickup.
