Comic Life 3 for Chromebook has the same fonts, templates, balloons, captions, and lettering art as our other Comic Life platforms. Comic Life 3 for Chromebook uses a drag and drop interface with keyboard and touchpad, but can also be controlled with just the touchscreen (on supported Chromebooks).
Comic Life 3 for Chromebook includes templates that offer a wide range of topics and offers a suite of image processing tools including parametric filters and an Instant Alpha tool that makes it easy to knock out backgrounds right inside the app. Included are graphics options for strokes, fills and opacity which help you get the perfect comic styling.

Comic Life 3 for Chromebook includes templates that cover a wide range of topics and include award certificates, education, trading cards for sports teams or games, and modern styles and themes for creative comics. The creative and life story templates lead off with a front page design followed by multiple stylized pages to match the theme. Templates designed specifically for education give students the framework to build a science report, write a newspaper, create a skill sheet for physical education, and build the school’s yearbook in Comic Life 3.
The included image editing features in Comic Life 3 for Chromebook make it easy to transform a photograph into comic artwork. A collection of parametric filters ranging from simple line drawing to full on movie-style rotoscoping allow an incredible range of effects. You can knock out image backgrounds with the integrated Instant Alpha tool, making it simple to place your subjects on a dynamic background.
The graphic design options further enhance the appearance of your comic pages. Element strokes include various dash and brush options for a hand-drawn look. Balloon control is available with a variety picker presenting many variations on most balloon types, fully positionable interconnecting tails, and adjustable balloon tail widths. Fill options include full color halftones for dynamic comic styling effects, speed lines and textures. Fill has an independent opacity control for professional style balloon and caption designs. And elements themselves also have fully adjustable global opacity. Rough up your pages with page texturing effects. Lettering is bolstered with a 3D effect to make your titles really stand out and gains enhanced control for precision warping.
Comic Life 3 for Chromebooks is designed to be easy-to-use for all ages, with a drag and drop or tap interface. It is for use with either touchscreen (on supported Chromebooks) or keyboard and touchpad. With multi-page comic support, you can either use images from your Pictures or Download folder or use the integrated camera feature allows you to instantly add photos to your comic. The editing engine features alignment guides including smart spacing guides, element grouping and locking ability.
