Do you see: “Comic Life 2” can’t be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.”? This is because Comic Life 2 was released before Gatekeeper existed on Mac OS X/macOS. However, you can bypass this on a per-application basis:

In the Finder, right-click (or control-click) on “Comic Life 2” and choose “Open”.

Click the “Open” button again at the next dialog warning to launch Comic Life 2.

Now you can open Comic Life 2 without having to do the above process again.
